Om Nom Nom (Get Me An Ambulance)

I’ve just finished the new [1] Domino’s “7 Meats Pizza”, which included 2 meats they had to invent themselves.

This got me to wondering, what do the Voodoonista [2] consider to be the creme-de-la-creme of the fast food experience?

Shout it out in the comments section!

There is a Greek restaurant (Founari Brothers) in Pensacola, FL that has the absolute greatest pizza I’ve ever tasted thus far. Called a Smothered Pizza, it has an abundance of ingredients on it. What tops it out as the best are the goat cheese and gyro meat. DIVINE! Side orders include fried calamari. Yum!

I guess it would be wrong to call Founari’s as fast food in comparison to McD’s or even Dominos but I guess any take-out could be, right?

okay I’ll bite… what on earth is ‘gyro’ meat? And Greek Pizza? That’s kinda like saying I’d like a serve of Turkish Sweet and Sour Pork… kinda wrong LOL!

Oh, Darren….You can’t knock it until you try it. :-)

Gyro meat is delicious. You can Wikipedia it for a more detail of what it consists. I believe Founari’s uses lamb as its base. The smothered pizza is basically eating a gyro in different form. Seriously?! Delicious.

A gyro? That’s either a European banking establishment or a thing that stabilizes a helicopter. I don’t think either of those have meat on them last time I looked. It’s probably horse meat, or being Florida, Alligator. Actually considering it’s a Greek place as well, I’d put money on it being Everglades Swamp Rat. Tasty, but only bbq’d at 400 degrees in a clay oven.

There’s a small Italian place just down the road from the ‘Hammo’ on the way to the airport that does the best take-out carbonnarra topped with diced ham and shallots, at least they did 7 years ago.

Although I know a tale about a certain moderator and In and Out Burgers…..

    Creature…..

Hoping it wasn’t swamp rat, but if it was….IT WAS YUM and I’ll just pretend I don’t know.

Alligator is actually quite delicious. Taste like fish. Meatier fish.

There aren’t any In and Out Burgers here in the Dallas/Ft Worth area of Texas. Yet. Plans for one opening are in play. I’ve heard they’re quite good. Can’t wait to try.
