Midnight shared with me the following saying:
When all you have is a hammer – everything looks like a nail.
I must confess to having never heard this before but it is so true and reminds me when working with people I care about in my personal and professional life – that sometimes people don’t always have broader the perspective to see things as you’d like. And don’t look like a nail.
Yeah, it’s a good saying for sure. Perhaps the old chestnut ‘can’t see the trees for the forest’ also belongs in the same canon of sayings.
In fact sometimes I get a little tunnel-focused myself on things to the exclusion of all else – so I guess I’d also do well to remember that saying myself… not everything is a nail and if I’d give myself the time and step back, I can always find something else in my tool kit….. like nailgun.

No one likes to discover that someone has screwed the girl he nails. Another saying.
This peverse but kinda funny cartoon is from The Perry Bible Fellowship
If your curious, it looks like the fellow who created these surreal comics has followed the creator of Calvin and Hobbes into early retirement – read the artical here.
