Palin done Bollywood Style

sarahpalin Dug around and found a clip over at Will Ferrell’s site Funny or Die. There’s some really good stuff and some really ordinary stuff to wade through but I guess that’s the nature of comedy – humour is such a personal thing. Seriously – I think Midnight is one of the funniest Voodoonistas I know.

As is former Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

The following clip is not so much funny as in ha-ha-ha, to me, but it certainly rates in terms of ‘car-crash’ awkwardness of the highest scale. Yay!

Watching McCain and Palin and their cast of Republican cronies dance Bollywood style is nothing short of mesmerizing… there is something about the McCain character with his shock of white hair and white teeth moving so… actually to me he looks like a Thunderbird cast member… the understudy guy never called off the bench… and Palin, so stiff with the glasses and the red jacket and Alaskan bravado…. ummm I have a confession to make.

Look I’d consider myself fairly centralist but her politics and world outlook are just not my cup of tea…. she kinda verges into right wing nutjobbery and the gun culture she supports, ‘meh…. but… she is… kinda… strangely… sexy.

And Tina Fey’s version of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live is marvelous… and together... oh lordy lordy lordy lord. Kinda sexy in a very awkward pit-dog way.

oh…. and I just love Bollywood numbers… just on a larger more co-ordinated scale… with easy on the eye Indians… and the noticeable absence of major political parties of any persuasion. And… McCain/Palin free.

* Watching McCain in this clip being so enthusiastically supported by his guys in suites… I now have another thing to add to my ‘if I won a mega-lottery’ to-do list. I’d hire a collection of bizoid types to dance around me for a whole day. At home, at the office, in the car. Yup – this very much appeals to my sense of the absurd.

…and of course it would be increasingly annoying for those around me which is always a nice little bonus.

Hmm it would have to be on a day featuring Poker night with the Midnight. Heh’.

Unemployment just hit 9.5% here today. 6.5 Million jobs lost since the recession began in December 2007 and Obama still promising to add 4 million jobs to the economy. by the time he adds them, he’ll just be replacing the ones due to be lost between now and the day he starts adding them. Looks promising for Republicans in 2010. I wouldn’t laugh this sketch off too soon you know because come 2012 this is what the USA could be facing, her and Joe the Plumber. Been buying kiwifruit in the stores this last week……

the thing I don’t get Creature is that the Democrats are just as Conservative on many things as the Republicans and both are so weighted down by the form of governance that Congress and Senate operates under… not to mention the out of control special interest lobby groups. with that in mind – do you think your expectations of Obama are a tad unrealistic? I mean he has to navigate through all this… or form a dictatorship or the like…jus’ sayin’

………..and surely there is no chance in hell that McCain could or would possibly run for the next election… and Palin… surely the Republicans can work up a better alternative over the next coupla years.. surely. …although she is kind ahot.

Actually Palin has a strong following still, despite the realization of many that she’s a complete moron, then again Americans like electing morons, afterall we had one for 8 years.

It seems the Republicans position someone as ‘the next big hope’ and they somehow self-destruct yet Palin continues on, too stupid to self-destruct.

So, don’t underestimate the ability of American voters to do something completely stupid….

    well there you have it.
Palin has announced that she is to retire as Alaskan Governor so she’ll have more freedom to build on her profile for a 2012 Presidential run.

ok – I’m reading between these lines “citing a “higher calling” with the aim of uniting the country along conservative lines.”

Guess you were right Creature… stranger than fiction… but still enough people/states.delegates have gotta vote for her right?

Check out the last paragraph about federal investigations… heh.

Yeah the Sports Complex thing is what all the bloggers on the left are spilling their lattes over. But when you come from the state that gives you Ted Stevens – http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/07/29/AR2008072901416.html then there is always funny stuff going on somewhere.

If this has any weight to it then she’s toast, if not and she’s really resigned so she can mount a serious challenge in 2012, that trip to NZ is not as far away as we had originally thought. Yes she would need a lot of delegates to elect her as the Republican nominee, but the Republicans are known to sell the farm on the off-chance of gaining or retaining power – hence they would ensure she wins if she has the popular Republican vote.

I guess your right. How else can you explain George Bush… or Nixon for that matter.
