Norman Harold Wells, born 19 March 1925, passed away early this morning.
He was my Father, my hero and my friend.
He was the best man I have ever known, and he has left me in a world that is less bright and less beautiful and less full of wonder because he is no longer within it.
Today, for me, was the day the stories died, and I desperately wish tears could bring them back.
I miss you Dad. I love you. I will keep the promises I made to you.

I am so very sorry for you and your mum and family. My thoughts are with you all.
I’m sorry Murray.
Celebrate the man and a life well lived my friend, the baton has passed to you. It time for you to live well, live long, laugh, think and above all keep telling the stories – this is your place.
And of course…. following a reasonable amount of reflection, you really are obliged to perform the infamous Zuchini Brother’s hand shaking dance when we next meet. Oh. Yes. you are. It’s possibly not what your Dad would have wanted, but he would have understood and possibly even had a chuckle.
The music will never die, songs live on forever, as do the memories you will always keep with you. As Darren has said, now is the time to celebrate the life and achievements of an amazing man. Think of the wonders and changes in the world that he had a hand in, witnessed or experienced and celebrate the richness of that life and know that the world is a better place to have known him. His spirit will always live on in you, and that would make him proud.
Be Strong.

Having played a challenging game with skill and finesse, your Dad moves to the next level, Murray. We can only guess at the rules that will apply in that great gaming room where positions are already set for us all. Those he loved remember him with love and admiration and one cannot ask for more. Grieve for his passing mate but rejoice in the memory of a life well lived. You are in our thoughts at this difficult time.
