The Dons were one of those teams that everybody loved and their fans were particularly fond of them (it's a recognised psychiatric disease in Wimbledon – DDD (Don doting disorder)). Nobody loves the MK Dons, not even their fans (which I will point out contains only 0.0082% of the original Dons fans). The Dons had a soft spot in most football fans hearts a bit like QPR and the spurs have. On an interesting note I used to work with a lady whose nephew was one of the MK Dons strikers until about two years ago when he got old (35) and retired (then they started to do well by coincidence) M@M

Let's hope he gets poached by some money wielding, mobbed-up, Russian oligarch to manage Moscow Dynamo Engine Workers FC and leaves MK Dons to slowly sink beneath the waves, as the new and improved Wimbledon AFC rise, phoenix-like, to take their rightful place in the upper echelons of football........HURRAH !
